Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist eliminated in Udhampur

On 26 June 2025, a Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist was neutralized in a joint operation conducted  by the Indian army and the Jammu and Kashmir police in Basantgarh, Udhampur in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sharing the details on the X, White Knight Corps said the operation is under way.

White Knight Corps later confirmed the elimination of one terrorist while stating the operation in progress.

Under the Operation Bihali in the Basantgarh, on basis of intelligence inputs the forces proceeded with the operation.  Four JeM militants, who were being monitored for the past twelve months, were surrounded by security forces in a forested area of Udhampur district. Contact was established with the terrorists  at approximately 08.30 hours

Since the contact, the forces proceeded with the efforts to neutralise the terrorists despite the heavy fog and rain in the region. One terrorist was terminated while the search operation for the others are continuing despite poor visibility due to fog. It has been reported that the  terrorists, had been Pakistan-based, and were discovered near Karoor nallah by a combined search team headed by the army’s para commandos.
